Markdown notes in Chrome — portable in, portable out
Your notes shouldn't be hostages. My Notes gives you a rich block editor in Chrome's side panel — and keeps everything round-trippable through Markdown, so your notes stay plain text you can take anywhere.
Markdown while you type
Use the shortcuts you already know: # for a heading, - for a list, [] for a task, **bold**, backticks for code. They convert into rich blocks as you type — headings, checklists, tables, images — with a slash menu (/) for everything else.
Clean export, clean import
- Export one note or all of them as clean
.mdfiles — proper headings, task lists and tables, not HTML soup. - Import Markdown straight back in; your files from other tools become editable notes.
- JSON backup too, when you want a full-fidelity copy including images.
And because My Notes is local-first, the Markdown never transits a server: files export straight from your device, where the notes live. Free, no account, works offline.
